If you love to go trail riding, you need to have an “Ankle Safe” which you can get on our website www.HighSierraHorseSupplies.com. You will find it under the category “Saddle Accessories“. Don’t get caught out on the trail without this handy, compact ankle safe. It is the perfect place to carry your necessities and items you may need in the unlikely event you get separated from your horse.
Specially-designed pocket will hold a cell phone and checkbook, plus smaller side pockets hold your ID, cash, keys, and whistle. Elastic strap holds pepper spray or bear spray. A padded inner lining and elastic closure make it comfortable to wear on your ankle, inside or outside of your pants.
I realize you already have many items that you take with you when you go trailriding, but there are so many more items that you will want especially if you go camping with your horses. When I saw all of the items, I was amazed. When I used to go trailriding, years ago, there was nothing available to compare to what is out there now. After checking out these items under saddle accessories, You will really be wowed. Instead of just stringing a rope between two trees and then tying your horses to that rope, for the night, with your lead ropes, there are special snaps “knot eliminator” that let your horses eat and drink without getting caught up in their ropes. There is a “Picket line tree saver” or a Portable Corral Trail Kit. There is even a bell that you can tie onto the line or one of your horses in case you need to know what they are doing.
We’ve all heard of saddlebags. Well now there are cantle bags, horn bags, etc. So much more items that you can carry your water and food in while you ride as well as keeping it cold for when you take a break. All of these items and more are under saddle accessories. Take a look. There a clip-on holsters for a water bottle, a back country saddle pack and a steel picket kit.

For those of you that have a mare which you bred for the first time and now is in foal, there is so much information you need to know. On our website, www.highsierrahorsesupplies.com, there are so many books and charts under veterinary supplies filled with very informative information and charts that are available for new owners of a mare that is about to foal. These items are an absolute must read. One of the best books is called “Foaling Primer”. There are many descriptions and photos to help you understand just what is going on with your mare. Another item is “Foal Watch - Testing Kit For Foaling Management”. This is also found in veterinary supplies on our website. You will be amazed when you find all of the information you need to handle the foaling of your mare. After the foal is born, please imprint that baby. That will make your new foal so much easier to handle in all phases of its training. There is even a “Foaling Chart” which is very informative.
Another book called “How to Raise Horses” gives you a wealth of information on what to feed your horse, how and where to house your horse, how to train your horse for whatever dicipline you intend to use your horse. Several photos in the book are also enclosed for your information. Owning a horse is a big responsibility. The more informed you are, the better off you and your horse will be for the future.
Another item you might be interested in is the “VSI Foal Kit” which is on our website also under veterinary supplies. This kit contains necessary items you will need while preparing for your mare to foal. The kit includes a bag in which to put the placenta (afterbirth) so the vet can check it out to make sure everything is there and nothing is left in the birth canal which can cause infection. Also included are latex gloves, iodine, a dip cup, an enema and a scapel to cut the umbilical cord. Also make sure you have several clean towels to dry off the foal which allows you to touch the foal all over which is part of the imprinting process.

All ranch owners that use panels have run into this problem when they intersect another panel midway, and no way to fasten these panels together. The Trio Ranch 90 Degree Clamp eliminates that problem. As a ranch owner, I have had this problem for years on many occasions. The Trio Ranch 90 Degree Clamp is a Godsend which was a long time in coming.
